Got a DWG? How to export a DXF or PDF

VerifyCAD reads PDF and image files (and DXF). If your drawing is a DWG, here’s how to export a DXF (or simply plot to PDF):

  • AutoCAD: type SAVEAS, choose ‘AutoCAD DXF’ as the file type, and save.
  • Other CAD software (DraftSight, BricsCAD, etc.): use File → Save As and choose DXF.
  • No CAD software? The free ODA File Converter (opendesign.com) converts DWG to DXF on your computer.

Your files stay on your machine — you’re just saving a DXF copy to upload.
